Guinée Espoir has built a new library!
With very few libraries in the country and only a couple of schools in the area providing modest library resources for their own students, Guinée Espoir felt there was a crucial need for a public library where children throughout the city could learn and broaden their horizons.
After successfully fundraising, collecting books and hiring local talent to revamp the space donated by the College Kipé in Conakry, we traveled to Guinea to set up the facility in October 2016.
The library now offers hundreds of books covering multiple subjects, providing a terrific learning environment for youth in Guinea.
Starting 2017, we will facilitate workshops at the library that will deal with a broad range of subjects such as: health, nutrition, HIV/AIDS awareness, hygiene, literacy: basic English and French grammar…
We are very proud to have achieved our goal with our dedicated supporters’ help. There is still more you can assist with! Below are a few ways you can continue to lend your support
